Other People's Heaven: The Viola Desmond Story
Lead actress in the play Other People's Heaven: The Viola Desmond Story Nawa Nicole Simon is pictured with the youngest sister of Viola, Wanda Robson. Both Ms. Simon and Mrs. Robson were presented with a bouquet of flowers from the Town of New Glasgow by Mayor Barrie MacMillan following the presentation of Other People's Heaven, written and directed by Beau Dixon and produced by Firebrand Theatre that was staged at Glasgow Square on Thursday evening before a full house of more than 200. Mr. Dixon was given a New Glasgow flourish umbrella and cast members Bridget Gillespie and Donald Brandy a pewter ornament of the New Glasgow Town Hall.
