The New Glasgow Regional Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) is responsible for investigating crimes against children over the internet including but not limited to the following offences:
- Possession, Accessing and Distribution of Child Pornography
- Child Luring
- Child Exploitation
The Unit was formed in 2010 and is run by one Detective Constable for online investigations and one Special Constable for computer forensics. The Unit works regularly with other police agencies across Canada and the United States to track down predators and identify victims.
If you are aware of a child at risk of online exploitation call 9-1-1 immediately or the New Glasgow Police Service at 752-1941.
