New Glasgow Regional Police advise motorists and pedestrians to walk and drive with caution during the winter storm today. Blowing snow reduces visibility. Icy road conditions and snow drifts may also exists during travel. Only If you have to travel, plan ahead, check for cancellations and drive to the conditions. Remember - Ice and Snow take it slow.
Officers have reported on patrols this morning that road conditions are snow covered and slippery and in areas blowing snow had decreased visibility. In addition some vehicles are parked in areas that will interfere with snow removal.

Residents are advised that the winter parking ban will be enforced into Sunday morning to allow Public Works crews to properly clear the streets and sidewalks throughout the towns. Vehicles must be off streets in which under section 139 of the Nova Scotia Motor Vehicle Act, tickets can be issued and vehicles can be towed any time, day or night, if they are parked in a way that interferes with snow clearing.
