On Friday February 17, 2017 at approximately 4:00pm, New Glasgow Regional Police, along with the New Glasgow Fire Department and Emergency Health Services responded to a 911 call about a two motor vehicle collision on East River Road New Glasgow across from the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.

A 36-year-old female was driving a Chevrolet Malibu that was travelling Northbound on East River Road, where a 32-year old male, driving a Honda Civic was making a left turn southbound from an adjacent business on East River Road when both vehicles collided.

The 36 year old female driver of the Chevrolet Malibu suffered minor injuries. The 11 year old female passenger of the Chevrolet Malibu was not injured. The 32 year old male driver and a 32 year old female passenger of the Honda Civic was transported to hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Both vehicles suffered substantial damage and had to be towed from the scene. East River Road between the areas Pine Street and Park Street was closed to traffic for approximately 35 minutes.

New Glasgow Regional Police continue to investigate.
