At approximately 9:00 PM, the Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit, with the assistance of the New Glasgow Regional Police, and New Glasgow Regional Police Canine Unit, executed a search warrant on MacLean Street, New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. As a result, police seized a quantity of N-Dimethyltryptamine (DMT), and cannabis marihuana from the residence.

Subsequently, police arrested a 19-year-old female resident and a 20-year-old male resident. The female is facing one count of possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, while the male is facing two counts of possession of a controlled substance, Schedule II and Schedule II, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act. Both persons have been released from police custody and will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
