On Monday February 27, 2017 at approximately 6:35 p.m., New Glasgow Regional Police, New Glasgow Fire Department and Emergency Health Services responded to a 911 call and attended the scene of a motor vehicle collision involving a dump truck and a pedestrian on Riverside Parkway New Glasgow.
Investigation determined that the 57 year old male was in the crosswalk on Riverside Parkway, when the 63 year old driver of a dump truck travelling Southbound collided with the pedestrian, where he was

transported by EHS to Aberdeen Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The 63 year old driver was charged under the Motor Vehicle Act for Failing to Yield to a Pedestrian in a Crosswalk which includes a fine of 697.50.

New Glasgow Regional Police continue to investigate.
