Glasgow Square Theatre is a 285-seat auditorium that provides a year-round venue for community events, entertainment and live theatre. It is a cultural facility unlike others as it was designed to host both indoor and outdoor events.
The Square’s main amphitheatre opens to a large outdoor stage where numerous events or festivals take place including Pre-Canada Day Celebrations, The Jubilee, Race on the River Dragon Boat Races and the Christmas Light Up and Celebration.
During the remainder of the year, Glasgow Square hosts a complete program of events including children’s drama camps, live theatre productions and musical performances from local, national and international talent. The Square doubles also as a meeting facility for business and organizations complete with panoramic view of the river.

The Celtic Circle Cultural Centre & Catering Ltd
The story of The Celtic Circle Cultural Centre & Catering Ltd. is a little unusual. Built in 1896, the building was originally home to The First United Baptist Church of New Glasgow, also known as “The Friendly Church on the Corner.” It was built, maintained and loved as a church for over a century.
Today, “The Celtic Circle” is a building consisting of two large event spaces, two stages, a green room, second story offices, and a fully equipped commercial catering kitchen. The main level with fixed seating for 200 is well suited to performing arts events, concerts, presentations and wedding ceremonies. The lower level compliments the main level as a reception/banquet room, accommodating up to 150 seated guests. Professional catering services are available from the onsite kitchen.
