The Town of New Glasgow Engineering Department provides overall engineering and technical support to the Town of New Glasgow. The Engineering Department conducts a complete array of Municipal engineering design from traffic signal design, street and geometric design, roadways and pavement upgrades to water and sewer and design services. Engineering staff also provide consultation services to other departments including building modification and energy analysis. The Town of New Glasgow Engineering Department has a full range of modern equipment to assist the engineers and technicians provide service to the town. These include Hanstad methods, Flow Water Modeling, Autodesk Civil 3D 2007, ArcGIS 9.2 current version. The town has modern survey equipment and GPS capabilities for survey accuracy. The Town of New Glasgow Engineering Department follows Standards Design manuals as approved by the Atlantic Provinces Environmental Departments tendering processes following the Nova Scotia Construction Association Municipal services design manuals. The department maintains memberships in various professional organizations ensuring that it is fully up-to-date with the latest in Technology used by Municipal Consulting firms throughout North America. In addition to our Engineer, the Town of New Glasgow Engineering Department has two Civil Engineering Techonogists, Adam Langille and Billy Battist-Rhude.
