Tennis in New Glasgow

The West Side Tennis Courts are located across the street from the West Side Community Centre (181 Lavinia Street). The facility offers two courts for tennis players of all ages and skill levels to get active, improve their game and enjoy recreational tennis throughout the season. The courts are typically open from mid-May to mid-October, exact opening and closing dates are weather dependent. To access the courts, members must complete a registration form and purchase a seasonal tennis membership at New Glasgow Town Hall (111 Provost Street). Town Hall hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Accepted payment types are cash, cheque or debit.

Membership Fees:

• Youth (age 5-17) $35
• Adult (age 18-64) $50
• Senior (age 65+) $35
• Family $120

Membership fees include access to the courts durning free court time, tennis lessons with our Tennis Nova Scotia Certified Tennis Instructor and any special events such as tournaments or mixers hosted by the Town of New Glasgow. To register for tennis lessons, e-mail  or call 902-755-8363.

Neal MacFarlane is a Certified Tennis Instructor through Tennis Nova Scotia. Neal is a former West Side Tennis Court member and is looking forward to offering lessons and hosting events at the tennis courts all summer long!
