Pollinator Certificate Program
Apply for the Pollinator Certificate Program!
New Glasgow is proud to be Nova Scotia’s first Bee City, and we are recognizing residents who are helping support bees, butterflies, and other important pollinators through pollinator-friendly gardens. Selected residents will receive a certificate and garden sign celebrating their contribution to biodiversity and sustainability in our community.
How can you help New Glasgow become even more bee friendly?
1. Create pollinator habitat by planting native species of plants and flowers in your garden.
2. Go chemical free, or avoid using chemicals in your gardens.
3. Leave your dead stems behind, which allows bees that nest above ground much-needed habitat for nesting.
