Planning and Development
The Town of New Glasgow’s planning and development staff manage a wide range of planning and development processes including:
- Rezoning applications
- Development agreement applications
- Subdivision applications
- Variance applications
- Zoning confirmations
- Administration of building and development permits applications
- Civic number coordination
Additional duties include advising Council, Committees of Council as well as other Town Departments on planning and development related topics that are important to growing our community.
Planning & development staff include a Building Inspector and a Planner/Development Officer with additional supports provided through Public Works and Engineering staff. Both Mike Thompson, CBO II, Building Inspector and Jeffrey Turnbull MCIP/LPP, Planner/Development Officer have been with the Town since 2013.
