The process for developing the budget begins in the fall of each year. At that time, Council establishes priorities for the upcoming budget based on staff and citizen input provided throughout the year. Meetings are open to the public and held in Council Chambers at Town Hall.
New Glasgow Town Council actively seeks input from the community on the annual budget by hosting public meetings and inviting feedback through correspondence. Council deliberates and approves the budget in November of each year.
