New Glasgow Regional Police investigate vehicle-pedestrian collision on Almont Avenue, New Glasgow, N.S.

New Glasgow Regional Police respond to a vehicle/pedestrian collision sending an eight-year-old female to hospital.

On Wednesday October 15, 2025, at 3:15 p.m., New Glasgow Regional Police, New Glasgow Fire Department and Emergency Health Services attended the scene involving a vehicle/pedestrian collision on Almont Avenue, New Glasgow.

The driver of the Ford F150 truck was traveling north on Almont Avenue when a motor vehicle/pedestrian collision occurred. Preliminary investigation indicated that the driver of the Ford F150 truck view was obstructed by another vehicle stopped at the east side of Fraser Street.

Speed was determined not a factor in the vehicle/pedestrian collision.

The 8-year-old Pictou County female was transported to the Aberdeen Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

New Glasgow Regional Police continue to investigate

Almont Avenue was closed to traffic in the Fraser Street area for over an hour to complete the investigation.
