The Town of New Glasgow wishes to advise residents and motorists that crews are repairing an emergency sewermain issue at the intersection of Merigomish Rd. and Grant St. on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 from 8:30am until 4:00pm.

This work will require a full road closure on Merigomish Rd. between Vale Rd. and Albert St. During the detour all traffic (inbound and outbound) will be detoured through Vale Rd., Brother St. and Albert St. detour will be in place for the duration of the repair.

Please drive safely through this worksite and be aware of pedestrians, workers, and work vehicles.

The Town of New Glasgow regrets any inconvenience this may cause and wishes to thank the public for their cooperation.
