The Chief Administrative Officer
The Chief Administrative Officer coordinates and oversees the administration and operations of the business affairs of the town in accordance with the by-laws, policies and plans established and approved by Council. Responsibilities also include overseeing the preparation of the annual operating and capital budgets and administering the budgets after they are adopted by Town Council.

KidsSport
KidSport Nova Scotia provides grants to help cover the costs of sport registration and equipment fees so that all kids aged 18 and under in Nova Scotia can play a season of sport. For more information and to apply for a grant, click here.

Gary Boone Leadership Development Fund
The Gary Boone Leadership Development Fund provides financial assistance to non-profit community groups and organizations for leadership training and development, which result in:
- More youth assuming leadership roles within the organization.
- Increased and improved leadership skills of Community Recreation and Sports Leaders.

Go Play Fund
The Go Play Fund was created with the intent of making recreation financially accessible to people of all ages. If a resident needs financial assistance to participate in an eligible recreational program or activity and doesn’t qualify for other financial assistance programs, then they can apply for assistance from the Go Play Fund. Unlike other programs that are exclusively targeted at youth, this program is open to people of all ages. Individuals are eligible for up to $200 per year.
Applicants must be referred to the Go Play Fund by a trusted community organization. To obtain an application form, inquire about trusted community organizations or ask questions about the Go Play Fund, please contact Veronica Deno, Active Living Manager, at or 902-755-8363.
