The Town of New Glasgow encourages those in need to take advantage of the water bottle filling station on the Samson Trail at the corner of Arch Street and Goodman Lane. (next to 47 Arch Street)
Time span: July 8 and 9, 2024, possibly continuing in some regions July 10.
Maximum temperature today: 30 degrees Celsius (Humidex 38).
Minimum temperature tonight: 19 degrees Celsius.
Maximum temperature Tuesday: 30 degrees Celsius (Humidex 34 to 37).
Location: Nova Scotia.
Remarks: Cooler conditions can be expected along parts of the coast.
Reduce your heat risk. If possible, schedule outdoor activities during the coolest parts of the day. Never leave people, particularly children, or pets inside a parked vehicle.
Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
