Town of New Glasgow Announces Two Summer Performance Series
July 9, 2026, New Glasgow, Nova Scotia - The Town of New Glasgow is pleased to announce two summer performance series taking place in New Glasgow this July, August, and September, offering free and accessible entertainment opportunities for residents and visitors of all ages.
Both series are supported by Support 4 Culture and the Province of Nova Scotia.
The 30th Anniversary Summer Concert Series, presented by the Town of New Glasgow and The Jubilee, will bring live music to several locations every Saturday leading up to The Jubilee. Performances will take place from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. and are free and open to all ages. The series begins on Saturday, July 11 at The Elks Lodge, 42 Provost Street, New Glasgow, with performances by The Clue and The Mallards. It continues on Saturday, July 18 at the Jubilee Office, 121 George Street, New Glasgow, with acoustic performances by Brynn Currie and Big Name Actors. The final performance before The Jubilee will take place on Saturday, July 25 at East Side Alley, 612 East River Road, New Glasgow, featuring 11th & Duke and The Quiet Wild.
The Town of New Glasgow is also presenting Summer for Everyone, a series of accessible programming at Glasgow Square Theatre and community spaces. This series is designed to help make live entertainment more inclusive and available to the community through free and “pay what you will” options.
Summer for Everyone begins on Sunday, July 12 at 1:00 p.m. with Songs From The Square, featuring Luka Hall and Irish Millie at Glasgow Square Theatre. On Wednesday, July 22, Andre Pettipas will perform at Murdoch Park at 12:00 noon as part of the Road to Giantstock II. This performance is free and all ages are welcome.
On Monday, July 27 and Tuesday, July 28, Icarus Theatre will present Constellations at 7:30 p.m. at Glasgow Square Theatre. The series continues on Sunday, August 9 at 1:00 p.m. with another Songs From The Square performance, featuring Ella Gunning Parker and ADINA. The final event will take place on Saturday, September 12 at 7:30 p.m. with a Green Room Session featuring Mat Hughes.
Songs From The Square performances and the Andre Pettipas performance do not require a ticket. Constellations and Mat Hughes require a “Pay What You Will” Ticketpro ticket. Donations collected will support Glasgow Square Theatre’s Moments for Everyone program. Tickets are available at www.glasgowsquare.com or through the Glasgow Square Box Office.
